Our Wedding Ceremony

Sep 09, 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM

Church of the Good Shepherd (Episcopal), 240 East 31st Street, New York, NY 10016

We wanted a traditional New York City wedding in a church, continuing in the footsteps of our families, and in honor of our parents and their parents. Father Stephen, a longtime friend of ours, had recently been appointed to the Church of the Good Shepherd, and when we went there we felt at home with the congregation. We are delighted that Father Stephen, an Episcopalian Priest, will perform the service, and that afterward we can have a home-grown Coffee and Cake Fellowship where we can greet everyone in a relaxed setting. As a special treat another dear friend of ours, Cantor Joel, from the Jewish faith, will participate in the service.

The Wedding Party consists of close family and friends. There will be children in the procession including grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The Wedding party and processional will be in formal attire, but guests can wear whatever they are comfortable in. (The attire for Sunday's reception is Dapper which you can find out about in Suggested Dress.)

There will be a photographer at the Ceremony, and there will be pictures taken in Central Park, following the Coffee and Cake Fellowship. Details can be found by clicking "Central Park" at the bottom of this page.
